Stress is an imbalance in the internal or external environment that causes one or more variables to move away from the set point of health. The common cold is an example of stress.
Colds are caused by viruses that have invaded your body. You usually wouldn’t think of colds as being that bad, but that’s because you have a lymphatic system which creates uncomfortable symptoms as it combats the virus and rids it from your body, restoring homeostasis (a state of dynamic equilibrium in the body with respect to its internal environment and functions). Without your lymphatic system, the common cold would probably be called the fatal cold.

Naomi’s thoughts: Isn’t it amazing to think of God’s wonderful provision for our bodies to be able to combat illness without even a conscious thought? Praise Him for His goodness and love toward us!
Don’t forget to thank the Lord for His love toward you today.
